Why Tennis?

Tennis is more than a sport. It’s a community you can come back to for life. It keeps you active, builds confidence, and creates moments to connect with others.At PGH Tennis, we believe the game should be for everyone. We are passionate about creating opportunities for underrepresented youth across the Greater Pittsburgh area to step onto the court, pick up a racquet, and play.By creating welcoming, low-pressure environments, we aim to make tennis something more young people can learn, enjoy, and carry with them long after their first shot.

What We Do

PGH Tennis partners with local community organizations to deliver structured, beginner-friendly tennis sessions that introduce youth to the fundamentals of the game in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.Sessions are designed to:• Teach core skills through guided, hands-on instruction
• Create a welcoming, low-pressure environment to learn and play
• Build confidence and community while helping youth connect with the game
